I'm a slacker I realize this

Actually, no I'm not. That title is false advertisement. I have however been slacking on this, in case anyone felt deeply upset or just beside themselves because they didn't have one of my totally awesome blog posts to read. I know I know, I'm sorry. I don't even have a good excuse unfortunately.
Today was the first day of classes....aaah what a busy and exhausting day Thursdays will be with just one class; how will I ever cope!?!?! I'll be done with class before some people even wake up..9:15am! I do find this to be a tad absurd considering its pharmacology....too early for that ball of stress to be tossed around. So basically since it was such a physically draining day lol I am so glad tomorrow is Friday. I mean I did do a lot of driving, despite the fact that I was sitting down for all of that (of course), so I do have some excuse for being tired. I also woke up at 6:15 sooooo yea.
Random thought of the day: I would like to know why it is so difficult to find flipping wall art that is not cheesy or tacky or dumb looking. For real? I went to Target, Pier 1, and World Market. I like things in World Market buuuut I'm too cheap to buy that stuff unless I'm in love...and even then, and so obviously since I walked away with nothing (after going into the store twice) I was not a true fan and in love. The things they have that they actually think the majority of the population would like on their walls....WHY would I want to hang a poster with the alphabet on it? I'm not five I'm not in kindergarten. I'm not a teacher nor want to be one. So is it supposed to be like a reminder so I don't forget what letter comes after the next? So I just gave up and for now my walls will just be boring and bare until I am feeling in the mood to spend money, which on a college budget will probably be a while.
In closing I would just like to say that I'm pretty sure the guys above us either have feet made of lead or they are extreme gamers of dance dance revolution. I think that's it, that could definitely be it. However, they need to chill out. Okay doooooone :)

Movin' out!

Could it be? Could the summer actually be over? Why yes!!!
I'm moving back to Cola tomorrow, well unofficially but all of my stuff is moving back...which is alot. I really hate unpacking and packing. I do however enjoy arranging and organizing, when I FIRST get somewhere or start the school year. Now whether it stays that way for long is a different story. It's the thought that counts thought right, and the effort?
I am so pumped to be living off campus this year, awesomeeeee and to have my car back (major plus). As I was speaking to some friends tonight as well as a girl who's going to be a freshman I was asked if I'd have my own bathroom. I was taken back with joy as I realized it's the first time ever in my life that I will have my own bathroom. I don't know what to do with myself, that is exciting.
I hope my dogs won't go on hunger strikes...of course those "strikes" tend to only last for three days max once they realize their pouting will not make me return. Plus, they enjoy food. Such love.

In light of all of this I would just like to say it has been one interesting summer. Yes I did say interesting, as opposed to not interesting or boring. Who wants that anyway. I have gotten closer to some great friends that I love very much :) including the cutest sweetest little 3 and a half year old ever so shout outs I will miss you guys. You know who you people are ;). Ya'll are the greatest and I don't know what I would do without you!!!

Ice-Ice Baby

ICECREAM is basically the best thing ever invented. I think anyway. But even the best things can be ruined. Take cheese for example....who wants to eat blue cheese? eww. That is nasty with a capital 'N', in my opinion anyway. American Idol...totally going to be ruined and fall down the tubes into the trash without Simon Cowell; I'm just laying it out there.

Back to the oh so important topic at hand, icecream.
I understand these flavor people feel the need to make new ones but come OOOON people bacon icecream...really??? If I wanted cold bacon I would freeze cooked bacon (notice I did not say eat raw bacon, food poisoning no thank you).
Marble slab now has french toast flavored icecream. What!! I do believe french toast is one of those amazing foods that is only good for a few bites until then it swiftly becomes too much. So, french toast flavored icecream=stomach ache. I just do not understand this.
Birthday Cake icecream/ Cheesecake icecream: I'm not going to lie, I am a fan of both of these....for three bites. Both of these that should be things kept in their original form, the taste is so much better that way.
Riverdog Ripple....thankfully Ye Ole Fashioned got rid of this one. Blue and green playdough is what I'd like to call it. Banned because of parents complaining about the after effects in the bathroom. However I think they now have one actually called playdough. Why is the question I'd like to ask them.
Bananna Split. Okay before you guys go and hate on me for not liking this I would like to point out I am not speaking of a bananna split with the full bananna and cherries and fudge...no. They actually have an icecream now with the flavors of these all mixed into one. The only reason I ate this was because my friend got it for free and we were curious...ate one bite and spit it out.
No, I do not spend my days eating icecream. I wish. These are just all things I and my friends have noticed and talk about, yes I know we are cool. It's called get yourself a "free sample" at mslab.
Now back to important things like watching Project Runway...adios amigos :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKSQjSdU8VA&feature=av2e

I seriously love this song. I find it so incredibly refreshing!!
I know I talked about tv shows last night, and typically I find shows on MTV entertaining because of how crazy they are...and not ever really in a good way. Their newest show, If You Really Knew Me, is crazy but in a different way. For once it's a show about allowing people to be who they are and showing that it's okay to be that person. I think my favorite part about the show is the "power shuffle" portion where they call out topics or things that if you relate to them you cross a line in the middle of the room. It allows the people involved and the viewers watching to understand that no one is ever alone. I feel like so often we lose sight of that, or we put up this facade that everything is okay when it's not. Heck, I do it allllll the time....but as much as it pains me to admit this (and it does pain me haha) sometimes letting go is so much easier than holding on. If you think about it, wouldn't that obviously be so? I mean in gym class when you had to do chin-ups how long were you actually able to hold on to that dumb bar before you let go and dropped? Chances are, you let go a lot faster than the amount of time you held on. Thankfully there was always that little blue matt underneath to catch your fall. I don't know where I was going with all of that, but I guess what I'm trying to say is you have friends for a reason. People were put into your life for a reason and vise versa.
p.s. I have the upper body strength of a fish, which basically means nooooone, so HA I always fell down pretty fast :)

Guilty pleasures

Don't lie, I know everyone has that one or two shows that they watch that they would just rather the rest of the world not know they watch. Or books....which I for one do not have because really the only books I read are those that I have to.
I must admit, and yes I realize this is sad but hey it's a guilty pleasure, I am a fan of reality tv. This is not because I find anything real at all about it, but because it's just plain entertainment genius!
For instance, The Jersey Shore. Hooooow could you not watch Snookie and the Situation, it's kind of like when you are late to a meeting and stuck in traffic and you're annoyed when you find that the reason everything is so backed up is because everyone in front of you is taking a long invasive look at a wreck as they pass by...but then when you get up to it you can't take your eyes off either. This also goes for The Bachelor/Bachelorette.
I love GLEE. Don't hate, it's an awesome show. The only reason it's even considered a guilty pleasure, though I don't feel guilty in the least bit and am proud to admit I am a faithful viewer, is because of all those people out there who feel as though it's an extended version of High School Musical....eeeh wronggg. GLEE makes HSM look like newbies!!

Questions....

1. WHY do professor's feel the need to request the "mandatory" purchase of ginormous wordy expensive textbooks that inevitably bookstores won't buy back because it's not the newest edition.
2. Howcome when I push the "that was easy" button from staples it's still not easy, I just find myself pushing it hoping it will magically become easier...lies.
3. I know this isn't a question, but I just find this entertaining. Seriously why would anyone let their child "play" in a trunk? I guess WorldMarket is just making sure no one can sue them....like the old woman who sued mcdonalds for her coffee being hot without a label ( really lady?steam hello). The next time I get a frappicino from starbucks I'm going to fake a frostbite and complain that they dont have a label that says this is cold, the ice was not a giveaway okay!
4. Who wants to both pack and unpack my life and drive it to USC? Any takers?? not a fan not a fan, this would be another of those I wish my "that was easy button" would actually work. Or I could snap my fngers and telaport everything there.
5. Seriously where do these armadillos keep coming from? I keep thinking I'm driving over boulders, but then I realize that no I'm running over hard-bodied little defensless animals...and then I feel horrible. I feel less horrible if it's a squirrel because we have plenty of those but armadillos!!!

Why not?

I've been saying for years I should write a book, but we all know I would never be committed long enough to do that....biggest procrastinator ever. Which is why even though I'm leaving to move back into school in a week I have yet to start doing any packing of any sort. I hate packing just as much as I hate unpacking, but I mean really who honestly loves doing either. Back to the point of the first sentence, I figure why not write a blog since it seems as though I'm the only lame one who's yet to start one (procrastination see).
I doubt anyone will read this, but I love surprises so surprise me please, but I've been told I could talk to a wall so if I end up just talking to myself that's cool..haha. What will I write about, that's a good question...I've also been told I'm quite a random person (I personally like to think of it more as I'm one step ahead of the game ha :) ). I don't have anything especially invigorating to say at the moment, but I hope it's a GREAT day for everyone!!!
